Inexpensive Wedding Ideas: 5 Top Tips on Bridal Wear

In the midst of economic challenging times, many wedding couples are searching for inexpensive wedding ideas to stretch their dollar. Having said that, every bride wants to shine on her wedding day! It’s the one day in your life where you will stand center stage and say “Look at me!”  That means it’s also the day when you want to be looking your absolute best.  The great thing is that there is such a huge assortment of bridal wear available to suit all sizes, shapes, ages and personalities.

At one time it was traditionally expected that the bride would float down the aisle in a rustling of white satin and lace.  A princess style bridal dress with long flowing veil trailing from your head to the hem of your dress.  These days this may still be “traditional” but it’s by no means expected.  Here are 5 tips to help you choose the right bridal wear for an inexpensive wedding:

1.    What suits you?  Make sure you pick a wedding dress that suits you.  An expensive gown doesn’t mean it’s the best and most luxurious. If you’re not into frills and girlie stuff, leave the princess style for a bride who loves it.  Choose a slinky silk dress that clings in all the right places, or an above the knee cocktail type of bridal dress.

2.    Don’t choose something that makes you uncomfortable.  If you’re not happy exposing a lot of skin, leave the low cut, backless strappy dresses to brides who prefer to have more air around them!   This is one of the biggest days in your life and you want to choose a bridal dress that you’re completely at ease in.

3.    Look at the kind of bridal dresses that are in fashion, look at the designers who are popular, but don’t think you have to follow the trend.  If you prefer to wear something that’s considered “dated”, remember it’s your wedding and you’ll wear what you want too!

4.    Find a dress that fits within your budget.  Look through sale rails for bargains on the right wedding dress style for you.  If you start looking early enough you could pick up a great bargain between fashion seasons as one type of design goes out of style and another becomes the vogue! That’s a fabulous way to find an inexpensive wedding dress too!

5.    Think about a bridal dress that will be easy to put on and take off without a lot of help.  You should be able to dress and undress without it destroying your hairstyle.  A dress that has a lot of small buttons may look great, but if you have to button them up when your fingers are shaking you might regret the bridal dress choice on the big day!

There are many inexpensive wedding ideas that can save you lots of money other than your bridal wear. Do your research and you will soon realize that you can still have a memorable and beautiful wedding without going for the big splurge.
